family…

July 24, 2010

THIS is family.  Why we have siblings.  I adore watching kids be kids – laughing hysterically or pulling pouty faces and tantrums.  To be perfectly honest, whenever I come home from a shoot I am so much more patient and content with my own kids.  When other people’s kids act like kids I think it is hilarious – not so much my own…  But I am learning!  I even laughed yesterday when my 3 year old proudly peed in the pool… and told everyone… and started drinking the water….

Anyways, back to THIS family.  I have known this bunch from the minute I moved to Taber and their mom knocked on my door.  How I miss those visits!  Now they live in a grand place called Lethbridge and we see them once a year…..  I am laying on the guilt trip here.  Because it is your fault, not mine….  Now I feel guilty.

Enjoy your teensy peek, I came across this shot and had to post it because it brightened my evening!   I promise more soon!  I will be editing straight for days to catch up!

just one quick peak!

I had to share a quick one from my last session!  There is something about this one that I simply adore.  Keep tuned, as this cutie will be back for another post (meaning the baby, not me).

Here is a peak at last weekend’s wedding.  I was so honored to be there to share in their amazing day.  And, of course, I had my trusty friend at my side the WHOLE day.  I loved it.  I am eluding to Angie – best back up shooter ever.  She even bought me a Tim Horton Sandwich (which was the very first time I had eaten there except timbits).

Anyhoo, meet the now blissfully married couple!

the world’s BEST baby.  I could have played with her all day and all night.  She is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  Her parents should consider having at least a dozen children.  She is beyond ADORABLE.  I will stop now and and show you her perfection.

*****I am NOT responsible for any sudden desire for more children.

I have a few more I plan on sharing, but I thought this little babe’s mom might be anxiously awaiting a peek!  I CANNOT get over his face – his mouth hanging open and his brows so intent on sleep.  Such a boy face.  I think I am in love with this baby, too…

is, of course, MY NIECE. Yes, I am old enough (and definitely mature enough) to have a married niece. I KNOW I don’t look it…

Anyhoo, here she is with her new hubby and all her wedding day bliss. This peek is a little BIG, but that is cause I just adore my niece. She is ALWAYS nice to me.

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Earl!

is, of course, my NIECE!!!!  Yes, I am old enough to have a married niece.  I really wish you wouldn’t bring that up.  Anyhoo, I had a fabulous time bossing them around and taking a gazillion pictures.  Seriously, a gazillion.  Which is great until I start sorting them…

Here is an EXTRA long peek, cause I love my niece EXTRA much and hope she is enjoying her wedded bliss!

just lovliness….

I get the most adorable one year olds lately!  I am SO glad Miss G is not quite walking – we would have been in serious trouble!  Enjoy!

to this guy.  He and my daughter (along with BFF Joe) have saved the world for us many MANY times.  My daughter goes under the alias ‘Rainbow Girl’ – I am pretty sure Josh usually plays the King.   Anyways, he makes me smile everytime I see him and my daughter thinks he rocks.

So you can imagine how happy I was when they came by for a shoot!  Him, his beautiful sister and his new cousin!  They were all such a good time!  I could take their picture every day.

SNOW!!!!  I showed up for this wedding in little flats (okay not really little – like size 9, but whatever) and there was a foot of snow on the ground!!!  That is southern Alberta for you.  But we managed to get some really fun shots – and I must say the bride is one of the prettiest brides ever.  I could just tell she is one those girls that looks just as good with no makeup – I am NOT one of those girls:(.

came for a visit a couple of weeks ago.  I am pretty much in love with her.  I just love this age, they just have so much spunk.  I must say it was the first time I have EVER seen a kid dive into a cake.  Literally.  It was SO cute :D
